The Importance of Trace Minerals

The Vital Role of Minerals in Supporting Physical Health.

In 2024, I faced numerous wellness challenges affecting my entire body. I was grappling with vertigo, experiencing shortness of breath the previous year, and more recently, dealing with anemia and menstrual irregularities.

In my quest for understanding, I researched my body's physiology and explored holistic approaches to enhance my health through nutrition and diet. As I delved deeper, I came to recognize that the issues I faced were largely tied to mineral deficiencies.

Minerals are essential micronutrients sourced from the earth, soil, plants, and water. These powerful nutrients are crucial for our bodies' function, structure, and processes, promoting balance and cellular communication. I discovered that my diet lacked essential minerals and that I wasn't consuming enough to sustain my body's storage needs.

To improve my health based on my newfound understanding of my body's requirements, I began using high-quality nutritional supplements complete with cofactors to enhance nutrient absorption. The mineral supplements I chose were food-based, derived from natural food sources, rather than synthetic alternatives.

I believe that over time, my body worked diligently to achieve homeostasis until it reached a point where supplemental intervention became necessary. My body's dysfunction communicated to me through various signs and symptoms, urging me to address these deficiencies.

Today, our food supply often fails to provide the nutrition we need for optimal wellness. The standard diet is dominated by heavily processed foods focused primarily on macronutrients, forged in food labs that incorporate addictive chemicals and fillers. Many fruits, herbs, and vegetables are either hybrid, bioengineered, or contaminated with heavy metals. Processed grains can damage the digestive system over time, leading to mental health issues, weight imbalances, and degenerative diseases that result in cellular destruction.

Here are some recommendations to help increase mineral intake in our bodies. I share this list with consideration for our community, which is directly affected by an unnatural environment and often struggles to access quality food and nutrition.

- Invest in a high-quality trace mineral supplement.

- Incorporate a mix of sea and land vegetable powders into your meals or drinks for optimal nutrient absorption.

- Enjoy micro-greens, which are packed with complex nutrients.

- Increase your consumption of nuts, seeds, and beans.

- Add nutritional yeast to soups and stews.

Remember, minerals are needed in small quantities. Consult your healthcare provider about getting a blood panel to identify any deficiencies before starting any supplements. This list is a great starting point for reintroducing minerals into your diet.
